This device was developed into a product through a joint effort between Professor Yoshiharu Miya of the Graduate School of Engineering at Nagoya University (currently a senior researcher at the Nagoya Institute of Industrial Science) and our company.
It is possible to measure the friction characteristics depending on the existence form and arrangement structure of the monolayer.
This product is an evaluation device that can measure the adhesion characteristics (meniscus) and friction characteristics of nano-lubricating films under ultra-light loads. Both adhesion force and friction force can be measured with high resolution (resolution of 5 μN).
